CNY Day 1 & 2
Alright, so far CNY has been kinda great for me. Though it’s not as fun as it was when I was younger, when I was still a little kid. But, I’m always looking forward to all the ang baos even at this age. Hahaha. XD
Day 1 of CNY, slacked at home till about 2pm in the afternoon before heading out to grandma’s place. Met a few of my aunties, uncles and cousins there. Sat down, ate some CNY cookies, did some catching up. Next headed to one of my another aunt’s place for another round of visitation. Same thing, ate some cookies, but this time around doze off after awhile on the sofa. Too tired already, slept like 4am. After that headed back to Lot1, pizza hut, for dinner.
Day 2 of CNY, got woken up by my little sister. She started crying and running towards my room, climbed unto my bed and cried even louder. Only to realized that she was shocked by the loud banging sound from the lion dance troupe. Left the house around 9 to my Mum’s place. First stop was da jiu jiu’s place, had my breakfast there with all the CNY cookies and other stuff you can find during CNY. My uncle’s place was kinda like the meeting point for all my aunties and uncles, so most of them were already there. From there everyone of us would head to somewhere else. Next, went over to Dai E Poh’s place (my grandma’s elder sis), ate the same stuff and did the same things. Then head down to another E Poh’s place doing the same thing. When it’s about time, everyone then left the place and head down to my grandma’s place. This time round, didn’t only ate the cookies but also my dinner there, grandma cooked and with the help of my aunties. Spend quite awhile there, catching up with all the uncles and aunties and my cousins. Finally onto the last stop for the day, aunty Mary’s place.
Honestly, I’ve collected about 20 ang paos so far and definitely ate loads and tons of CNY cookies. =)
