Steamy Sunday
Invited the youths over to my place for the very first time. Had steamboat lunch/ CNY lunch today with the peeps. We seriously bought too much food, and had loads of them still in my fridge(my mum is still complaning about it). I have no idea how we estimated the number of people who was comming for the lunch, we estimated 25 people and we bought 25 people worth of food. However in the end, only 17 people (youths plus aunty Mary’s family plus my family) came for the steamboat. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed it and had a great time. Sam Ang managed to invite this girl who used to attend our church, whom I don’t know of, for the stemboat. Which was quite good as they had the chance to do some catching up. And our dear friend Benjiamin finaly turned up after not seeing him around in church for like no idea how many weeks. We seriously ate a lot as there was seriously too much food. Pity Sam Chng and Hazel as they still have another round of steamboat over dinner with their own family.
I guess these little gatherings that we have helps us to bond, though we know each other for more than 10 years already, watching each and eveyone of us growing up. It’s these gatherings that bring us closers, not just friends, but brothers and sisters, and not forgeting brothers and sisters in Christ. It’s quite difficult for each and everyone of us to meet up during the weekdays and sometimes even the weekends as we are all busy with our own lives, be it studies or work or NS. So I really do appreciate and treasure the times when we hang out togther, even if it’s just hanging around aimlessly(I know it sounds alittle “gayish” but hey it’s true okay).
Anyways, I sent my lappy for servicing, not sure when will I be getting it back. And my headphone died on me 2 weeks ago, am going to get it repaired tommrow, hopefully. Have no idea why my things will start dying on me during the hoildays. =(
